10 Year Anniversary

It has just occurred to me that Steel Dolphin Creative has been around for 10 years now. Wow. It's amazing how that just made me feel even older than I am.

Back in time
Let's have a look back shall we? The year is 1999, times are brighter, Y2k is imminent, and photography is actually still an art form, before every jack-ass and his sister have digital cameras and a flickr account.

Things that happened in 1999:

  • Cher had the #1 hit of 1999 - Believe
Well Cher was never cool and probably never will be, but I thought it was interesting.
  • Microsoft releases Windows 98 (Second Edition) (from 1998).
Microsoft ushers in a new era of software suckage.
  • Futurama.
Fry is cryogenically frozen and Futurama airs.
  • Napster, a music downloading service, debuts.
I remember this - and I admit to nothing.
  • Nunavut, an Inuit homeland, is created from the eastern portion of the Northwest Territories to become Canada's third territory.
Sweet. We need more territories in Canada. Sigh.
  • The Euro is established
Great, one step closer to a world currency and the new world order.
  • Pajama Bottoms were cool
    No lie...they were.
  • Steel Dolphin Creative was born Okay this was pretty cool.
